Prayer

Whenever a horrific and senseless act of hatred occurs,
when we see the pain and suffering,
the death and destruction inflicted on innocent people,
we feel angry and outraged.

Prayer

Orlando, you are in our thoughts and hearts as we gather tonight in prayer.

Whenever a horrific and senseless act of hatred occurs,

when we see the pain and suffering,
the death and destruction inflicted on innocent people,
we feel angry and outraged.
We may even ask, where is God in all of this?

God does not call for nor wants any part of these destructive acts, but God is there.

Prayer for the victims of the Orlando shooting
I pray that God take the dead into His caring and loving arms. I pray for the wounded to have good care
and be healed in body and spirit, and that the families of all of the victims of this tragedy be comforted in their time of need.
Amen.

Jesus Christ is our Bridge over Troubled Water
as we pray to Him to for comfort, and mourn the loss of and harm to those whom we love, and for all those who have been lost
and harmed as victims of hate and gun violence.
